Understanding Pixel Pitch

Demystifying pixel pitch and how to calculate the perfect viewing distance for your LED video wall.
Pixel pitch is the absolute most critical metric when selecting an LED display. It is the distance in millimeters from the center of one LED diode to the center of the next.
The golden rule of pixel pitch is: 1 millimeter of pitch = 1 meter of minimum viewing distance. Therefore, a P2.5 screen is best viewed from 2.5 meters away or further.
**Yotta Pixel Recommendation:** For corporate boardrooms, P1.2 to P1.5 is the current gold standard. For retail window displays, P2.5 to P3.0 offers the best balance of resolution and cost.
Do not over-spec your screen. Buying a P1.2 screen for a billboard that will be viewed from 30 meters away is a massive waste of capital, as the human eye cannot resolve the extra detail from that distance.
